Custom Build

As you can see on our at bike pages, you can B.Y.O.B. (Build Your Own Borealis) as you see fit.  If there is a different setup that you would like and do not see it, drop us a line and we would do our best to help you out.

How long will it take for my small parts order to ship?

Small parts orders will generally ship 1-3 business days depending on order volume. You will receive a tracking number via email when the order ships.

How much assembly is required on complete bikes bought online?

I you choose unassembled, there are no parts installed on the bike, so it is a complete build that must be done by a qualified bike mechanic.  The wheels are already built.  If you choose assembled, it is an 85% build. We build our bikes up completely and tune them to ensure everything is working correctly, we then dissemble the bike to the point that it will fit in boxes. You will need to install the fork and headset, install front brake and install the seat tube. The tires will need to be mounted on the rims and if you have a tubeless specific rim you will need to set up the tires and add sealant. Though we do tune the bike before disassembly, some adjustments of the derailleur(s) and brakes may be required. Borealis recommends having a bicycle mechanic assemble and tune bike for the best performance and safety. Borealis Bikes Canada is not liable for injuries or damage caused by improper installation.
